Myclimate
As part of our commitment to sustainability, we work closely with myclimate to measure our CO2 emissions and invest in carbon offset projects. We thereby support the Gold Standard certified energy efficient stoves project in Kenya (learn more). Through our partnership with myclimate, we are also able to support our customers in making their business trips more environmentally friendly.
Green Fares
We also offer our customers the choice of Green Fares. These fares allow you to invest in the use of Sustainable Aviation Fuels (SAF) and reduce your CO2 emissions. SAF is produced from waste and residues from the circular economy (mainly used cooking oil). The Lufthansa Group's Green Fares reduce 20% of flight-related CO2 emissions. The remaining 80% is invested accordingly in climate protection projects.

Binding supplier code of conduct
Every good collaboration is based on a common foundation. We are committed to ensuring that our local partners share our values and comply with our guidelines. That is why we have bundled our ecological, social and ethical principles in the Supplier Code of Conduct, which is an integral part of all contracts. When it comes to purchasing standards, we prioritise accommodation that is certified by the Global Sustainable Tourism Council (GSTC), and we also adhere to our guidelines on child protection and animal welfare. We are a member of The Code for Child Protection and the Roundtable Human Rights in Tourism. We work with the Animondial and Preverisk organizations on animal welfare. We are also TourCert certified across all Kuoni brands.
